Animated Atrocity: Chicken Little

Alright, guys. This is my first Disney atrocity, and its focused on its first 3-D animated feature, Chicken Little. When I watched this, I thought it was good at first. But then as I seen a couple of times, I realized how ridiculous it is. The story is a bit cliched, some of the characters are bland, and the execution is a a major let down. The title character himself is what I liked throughout the entire flick. His friends are your typical outcasts and underdogs, most other characters are stereotypes, and Buck is an unlikable parent that could've scarred the main character already.  I can understand what they'd coming from, but it didn't even made me find them interesting. The designs of the aliens and the town in general is actually pretty creative. The only thing I hate about this film is the mean-spirited nature and the pop-culture references. The music's alright, but the songs are sometimes unneeded. Overall, despite the positives, I don't like this film.

I used to watch this as a kid and despite it’s flaws,I got to appreciate the film as a adult and understand it’s flaws such as Buck Cluck being a horrible example of a father and the pop-culture references. But I managed to grow to like some of the characters such as Abby Mallard,Runt of The Litter,Fish Out of Water,Mr.Woolsworth,Turkey Lurkey, and Chicken Little himself and a few funny moments that made me chuckle such as the ending scene. Also,I think it holds up much better compared to other Disney trainwrecks of the 2000’s such as Home on the Range,Brother Bear,G-Force,and The Wild. The film was lucky enough to have Chicken Little and Abby Mallard present Best Animated Short Film appeared at the Oscars. :iconjayzeetee16:
